Frequently asked questions
Everything couples and planners usually ask before booking The Keys. If your question is not here, ask us directly.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples reserve 12 to 18 months ahead, especially for Saturdays between May and October in the Algarve and Lisbon. Midweek dates and winter celebrations often have more availability, so it is always worth asking.
Do you perform outside Portugal?
Yes. We are based in Lisbon and Quinta do Lago and travel with our musicians and production to Spain (Marbella, Seville), Italy, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Travel and accommodation are quoted together with the music, so there are no surprises.
How much does a wedding band cost?
Every proposal is built around your day: the line-up, the moments you want covered, the venue and the production needed. Tell us your date and venue through the availability form and Filipe will send you clear options with all costs included.
Can you play for the whole day, from the ceremony to the after-party?
Yes, and it is what most couples choose. One team carries the music through the ceremony, welcome drinks, dinner, the party and the after-party, with strings, the Roaming Band, the band and DJ & Sax handing over seamlessly.
Do you bring your own sound and lighting?
Yes. The Keys Productions supplies our own concert sound, lighting, stage and LED, operated by our own crew. Ceremony microphones and speeches are covered too, so your planner deals with one team.
Can we choose the songs, including the first dance?
Of course. Browse The Wedding Soundtrack for ideas, send us your must-plays and do-not-plays, and we can learn a special song for your first dance or entrance with enough notice.
Do you work with wedding planners and venues?
Every week. We are used to luxury venues and planners across Portugal and Europe, and we share a technical rider, timings and set-up needs well in advance.
Which languages do you work in?
We work in English and Portuguese, and our repertoire covers international hits as well as Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian classics.
How do we pay?
We accept bank transfer and cash. A booking is confirmed with a signed agreement, and the payment terms are set out clearly in your proposal.
What happens after we send an enquiry?
Filipe replies personally within 24 hours with availability for your date. If it suits you, we arrange a call to understand your day and then send a tailored proposal.
Every date is performed once.
Tell us the date, the place and the people. We will tell you what is possible.
